1 Corinthians 15:3, "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;"
The suffering of Christ and his death was described in the Bible before it ever happened in real time. There are plenty of examples in the Old Testament that describe the crucifixion of the Lord and how he died for our sins. Read Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53 for starters.
He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5
Father God, you have made everything plain and easy to understand for us. You have told us in the Bible everything you would do. You described the death of your Son before it ever happened. You also have provided us with the knowledge of the second coming of Jesus Christ. Lord, I believe your word. What you have said, you will do. You will bring to pass every word you have spoken. Amen.
